· Room Rate: $129 Room, tax and incidentals will be paid by individual

· Reservations must be made by April 10.

· Cancellation or changes in arrival and/or departure dates must be received at least 72 hours (before Monday, April 29, 2013 at 4 p.m.) in advance to avoid forfeiture of first night stay. Early departures will be charged the contracted nightly rate for the entire reserved stay.

  • For The Love Of Cities: How To Engage Your Citizen Community Makers

As a follow up to his keynote presentation, author Peter Kageyama will delve deeper into the process of turning emotionally-engaged citizens into community development resources. He will share examples of citizen initiatives and projects from around the country that are changing communities for the better. Kageyama will highlight the critical role of government in the process, and map out how official entities can partner with and promote these emotionally-engaged citizens.

9:00 a.m. Session - " Ethical Dilemmas for City Managers," Mark Levin

This session will be a lively, highly participatory discussion of the ethical dilemmas facing City Managers. Be prepared to defend your choices when the facilitator asks you to commit in writing how you would react in difficult ethical situations, and challenges you to defend your decision, and shares with you how your choices compare to those of the other participants.


Casual dress is encouraged throughout the conference; except for the Annual Banquet where semiformal attire is suggested (out of respect for the evening's award recipients).

Due to the requirement that meal guarantees be made in advance, cancellations should be made to Katie Bradley at by April 22. No refund of the registration fee will be made after 5:00 p.m. on April 22.
