Grow Native! Professional Member Conference Set for Nov. 6, 2013 in Columbia, MO

Native plant nursery owners, landscape designers, landscaping contractors, educators, and other land care professionals will gather in Columbia, MO, on Nov. 6, 2013, for the annual Grow Native! Professional Member Conference. Hosted by the University of Missouri and Mizzou Botanic Garden, the day-long conference will feature Stormwater Educator Mike Hiemos, speaking about the City of Columbia's stormwater management program; Assistant Professor of Forest Hydrology & Water Quality Jason Hubbartat the University of Missouri presenting on the use of native willows and floodplain forests for stormwater management; and Missouri Department of Conservation Private Lands Conservationist Seth Barrioz speaking on the native plant and wildlife needs of private landowners. Membership webpage. Registration, which includes lunch, is $15 for Grow Native Professional Members and $25 for nonmembers. Member rate will apply when registration feeis accompanied by membership dues.
