Municipal Public Information Officer Meeting

   January 24, 2013

9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

The Missouri Municipal League and the City of Columbia invite MML members interested in public information and communication to attend this networking, learning and discussion session on Jan. 24, 2013.

Garrett Anderson, director of economic development with the City of Branson, will share how Branson's crisis communication plan was put into action after a tornado struck in February 2012, and the role of team members.

During lunch, the group will spend more time getting to know each other and discussing goals we could establish as a group, including potential future meetings, learning opportunities and communication preferences. After lunch, the City of Columbia is working to arrange an optional tour of the Reynolds Journalism Institute on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.

Registration fee of $20 includes lunch.
