- When are you required by law to have surety bonds, and when might you want them even if not required? Does it make a difference what bond form you use?

- Partial occupancy - how does taking over part of a project affect all remaining obligations, and what can you do to keep your protections?

- The municipality's obligations on Prevailing wages - how far do you have to go to comply with the current law?

- Insurance - what proof do you need? Is a Certificate of Insurance enough?

- Incorporating Missouri workforce safely training requirements

- Incorporating Missouri worker eligibility requirements

BUILDING TRUST, presented by Dr. Mike Mowery, President of Servant Leadership Implementation, SGR

Description: We have all seen the negative impact that a lack of trust can cause on a team or in an organization.

Often when speaking with mid-managers and supervisors, they are the ones who are most affected by the difficulties of trust. They are caught in the middle between management and front line employees. Both groups think the middle managers SHOULD be on their side, and both groups FEEL like the mid-managers are more sympathetic with the other side. (Probably like Referees feel at a football or basketball game.) However, just the fact that we can talk about “sides” in this context demonstrates the problem with trust in our organizations.

Will qualify for 1 hour of Elective credit for the Municipal Governance Institute (*MGI).
