SHARED SERVICES: HELPING JURISDICTIONS WITH CAPACITY, CONSISTENCY AND EFFICIENCY, presented by Curt Skoog, Branch Manager, IBTS

Description: Your jurisdictions may struggle with having resources to provide quality and timely services such as building department services.  A shared approach provides a way for municipalities to join together to share the cost of some or all of these services, maximize building department efficiencies, and hire/retain the best resources to service citizens and the building community.  This session will explain how this approach works, how to plan and implement shared building department services and how doing so can help to capacity, consistency and efficiency.

REGISTER HERE - January 11

Servant Leadership provides the right philosophical framework for leading in this environment. This webinar will provide a practical roadmap for how to create a real and sustainable culture built on the foundation of servant leadership principles.

Will qualify for 1 hour of elective credit for the Municipal Governance Institute (*MGI).

MUNICIPAL RISK AND CLAIMS REALITIES, presented by Patrick Bonnot, MIRMA

Description: This webinar analyzes the saga of governing the world of risk management and claims administration from a Missouri municipality’s standpoint. As our communities change over time, our residents expect local government to buck the stereotype of a slow-moving, monolithic object. Where some activities, due to high frequency/severity, dictate that municipalities contract out the specific tasks, other activities, due to low frequency/severity, allow for a more modest, managed approach. We will sift through various high-level and in-the-trenches aspects to assist in understanding which approach could be better for your municipality depending upon the service rendered.

Will qualify for 1 hour of liability and risk credit in the Municipal Governance Institute (*MGI).

REGISTER HERE - March 6
SUNSHINE LAW: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MISSOURI'S OPEN MEETINGS AND RECORDS LAWS, presented by Patricia Churchill, Director of Regulatory Affairs, AT Government Strategies LLC

We will also cover recent developments in statutes and case law.

Will qualify for 1 hour of sunshine law credit in the Municipal Governance Institute (*MGI).
