
Wildwood Council Member Elected President of
Missouri Municipal League
The Missouri Municipal League elected city of Wildwood Council Member Joe Garritano as President during the organization’s annual conference Sept. 26-29, 2021, in St. Louis.
Joe Garritano is a city council member in Wildwood, Missouri, since 2015. In August 2018, he was selected by the city council to serve as the City's mayor pro tem. During his tenure he has served in various leadership roles, such as chairman of the Crossings Improvement District and chairman of the Wildwood Administration & Public Works Council Committee.
In February 2019, he was elected to serve on the board of directors for the Missouri Municipal League and was elected MML Vice President in 2020.
Professionally, he is a senior project leader with a national financial firm, responsible for managing and coordinating strategic activities and projects.
Garritano earned his master’s degree in Information Systems and bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems & Criminal Justice from Pace University, New York. He is also an adjunct professor in project management at Saint Louis University.
In the community, Garritano is the president and trustee of The Meadows at Cherry Hills Homeowners Association, a 162-home subdivision in West St. Louis County. During his free time, he volunteers for the USO of Missouri, St. Alban Roe parish, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is married to his wife Vanessa and a proud father of two daughters, Estella and Alice.
