Kim Nakahodo Recipient of Richard R. Noll Award

Nakahodo Honored for Professionalism, High Standards of
Accomplishment and Ethical Conduct

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Kim Nakahodo, assistant city administrator for the city of North Kansas City, was chosen as the 2020 Richard R. Noll Outstanding Assistant Award by the Missouri City/County Management Association (MCMA). Nakahodo received the award at the City’s virtual city council meeting this week. The recipient must hold an administrative position that is responsible for assisting the chief administrative officer in carrying out various administrative duties and other responsibilities.

Nakahodo provides administrative support services to the city administrator, mayor, and city council. She is responsible for several special projects and serves as a point of contact for the business community and economic development projects. She also oversees the city clerk, municipal court, and serves as the staff representative for multiple boards and commissions.

Nakahodo also serves as the emergency support function #15 section chief for the Kansas City Regional COVID-19 Response and is on several Missouri City/County Management Association (MCMA) committees. She is a featured writer for Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) and is currently pursuing her Master in Public Administration at the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk). She is very involved in her community and serves as a member of her local PTA and as a den leader and committee member for Boy Scout Troop #354.

Before her service to the North Kansas City community, she served with the city of Blue Springs and the city of Kansas City, Missouri. She loves working with extraordinary citizens, stakeholders, businesses, and public and private entities for the betterment of a community.
